The Church is a setting where God's people gather together for the same purpose, together calling the Church the body of Christ. Jesus Christ is the "head" of the body (the Church) while the "members'' of the body are members of the Church. “And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way” – Ephesians 1:22-23. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. The members (believers in Christ) join together as a congregation to do the work that Jesus Christ commissioned the Church.
